Can you feel that chill in the air? Do you hear the rustling of fallen leaves beneath your feet? It’s a magical mystery! Halloween has arrived, and at La Vicenta, we’ve prepared a night full of terror and fun with endless surprises and thrills just for you.
What is the Origin of Halloween?
Halloween, also known as the Night of Witches, has a mysterious origin dating back to the ancient Celtic tradition of Samhain. Did you know that the Celts believed that on the eve of Samhain, the spirits of the dead returned to the world of the living? Nowadays, that translates into ghostly costumes and skulls, and all sorts of spooky decorations!
Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without pumpkins. Instead of carving friendly faces like in Jack-o’-lanterns, in Mexico, we celebrate with calabacitas. These mini-pumpkins are transformed into works of art carved with skull faces, witches, and creepy creatures. It’s a tradition that wonderfully blends sweetness with the spooky.
