The history of the “Jueves Pozoleros” goes back to the Port of Acapulco. It is said that it started in the 80s when a famous disco opened its doors on Wednesday nights and the owners of the surrounding restaurants began to sell pozole for those who were up late or had too many drinks and since pozole is very filling, it was enough for Thursday. The disco closed forever, but the custom was born to stay and eat pozole on Thursday.

 

Pozolero Thursdays are nowadays the best excuse to get together with friends and family to savor this delicious dish with its respective snack and a good tequila or mezcal to tie up the flavor and what better place than La Vicenta to enjoy these moments?
