We know that music is universal, we enjoy and feel it equally, and since the 80’s artists like Freddy Mercury and David Bowie, expressed respect for freedom through their songs.
New anthems emerged from the movement, worthy of being the hits they are today, for example “Go West” by Pet Shop Boys, a song inspired by a sentiment towards the Californian city of San Francisco in support of Homosexual Liberation.
Over the years, expressing how you are became stronger, and artists from different genres such as Flume, Hercules & Love Affair, Empire of the Sun, Blood Orange, among many others, took voice to celebrate Inclusion and Diversity.
The Latin sound has also been present through the talent of artists such as Marineros, Javiera Mena, Miranda!, Esteman, among many others.
For its part, Mexico continues to celebrate every June with songs that make us feel proud of our roots, with artists like Juan Gabriel, Gloria Trevi, Alejandra Guzman, and others that we still remember like Kabah and OV7, being the essential tracks in every PRIDE party in our country.
