A Dish Born to Celebrate<\/b><\/h3>\n

Behind its unforgettable flavor and the colors that proudly shout <\/span>\u00a1Viva M\u00e9xico!<\/span><\/i>, there\u2019s a story worth telling. Back in <\/span>1821<\/b>, in the city of <\/span>Puebla<\/b>, a group of Augustinian nuns from the <\/span>Santa M\u00f3nica Convent<\/b> heard that <\/span>Agust\u00edn de Iturbide<\/b> would be passing through the city after signing the <\/span>Treaties of C\u00f3rdoba<\/b>. And of course\u2014they wanted to impress.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, they created a dish inspired by the colors of the <\/span>Mexican flag<\/b>: green from the <\/span>poblano pepper<\/b>, white from the <\/span>nogada sauce<\/b> made with <\/span>Castilla walnuts<\/b>, and red from <\/span>fresh pomegranate seeds<\/b>. Every ingredient brings flavor, but also powerful symbolism tied to identity and national pride.<\/span><\/p>\n
